- Festival of Americas: Please join us for a evening of music performed by the world renown American Wind Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. following the dedication of the new Straits Marina (State Dock) on South Huron Avenue. Advanced tickets can be purchased through the Mackinaw Area Visitors Bureau, call (231) 436-5664. Tickets are also avaible on site.
- Please review the Construction Project Information for road construction scheduled to begin on July 13, 2009 on I-75 near Mackinaw City provided by the Michigan Department of Transporation.

- Cross-County Ski Trail Map - The Village has approximately 10+ miles of beautiful cross-country ski trail. Emmet County's Headland's and Mackinaw City Historic Village provide a variety of scenic views and natural settings.
- Ironworkers Walk of Fame Inductee Program - Learn about a program that recognizes the Union Ironworker and Mackinac Bridge Bridgman of North America by incorporating a brick paver concept along North Huron Avenue.

- WIND TURBINES - Two Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) were installed in the Village at the wastewater treatment plant in December, 2001. Together, both turbines power about 600 homes for a year.
