The Department of Public Works is staffed by seven full time and five seasonal employees. The Department is responsible for the following diverse range of services:
Capital Project Construction:
Public Works crews participate in the construction of various components of capital improvement projects in conjunction with private contractors to complete Village infrastructure projects.
Recently Completed Projects:
• Electrical upgrade and resurfacing of East Central Avenue
• Sewer installation at Hiawatha Street and Cadotte Street
• Sidewalk installation on Nicolet Street
• Sidewalk repairs at various locations throughout the Village
• Street sign replacement throughout the Village
• Building footings at Heritage Village
Winter Maintenance:
• Snow plowing
• Sidewalk plowing
• Road sanding and salting
• Sand and salt stockpile management
Sanitary Storm/Sewer Repair and Maintenance:
• Main sewer line cleaning
• Manhole repair
• Catch basin cleaning
• Sewer line inspection
Road and Sidewalk Repair and Maintenance:
• Pothole repair
• Road crack sealing (contracted)
